Our Training Facility
The Yateley Offshore Sailing Club is an affiliated RYA Training establishment able to provide shorebased RYA Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Offshore theory courses and qualifications to RYA Standards. We are also authorised to assess applicants for ICC and CEVNI and issue RYA CEVNI Certificates of Competence.
RYA shorebased courses are available to our Members at a discounted fee. Non-members will be accepted at the full fee on courses where there is availability.
We are restarting our training activities with a Day Skipper Theory course beginning in mid-February. See the Day Skipper Theory Course page for more details.
Use the Contact Us form to request notification when new courses are planned.
Basis and Timing of Courses
Theory Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster courses will generally be run over a number of concentrated weekends.
RYA First Aid courses will be run on a Saturday as noted above at a location close to the YOSC base in Sandhurst.
Precise course dates will be set upon there being sufficient demand.
Club courses are run for the benefit of club members. For new members who attend one of our training courses within a year of joining, our joining fee will be waived.
Full course payment needs to be made prior to course commencement.
New members to YOSC are very much welcome for both boat and non boat owners. There is every opportunity for new member non boat owners to join one of our skippers on a YOSC rally.
